No. 1 EXTERNAL LIFTING TOOL to be operated on board of the Heerema Thialf construction vessel, to grab the 4th leg, with launch runner, including timber blocks, of the no.2 Marchison platform semi-jackets . – The ELT is hydraulically operated, it can handle tubulars from 1.800 mm to 2.300 mm and have a max lifting capacity of 2.000 mT. – This ELT has been specially designed in order to allow to operate with the launch runner timber blocks still in place. – This tool can be easily modified in the future to handle a standard circular tubular.
